Who we are

SyncProof is operated by Vijay Kumar, an individual based in India, trading as Wrenbench. Contact and grievance officer: Vijay Kumar, hello@wrenbench.com.

What we store

SyncProof has not launched. Today the only personal data we collect comes from the waitlist form below. The account, API key and usage items apply once accounts open, and how we handle Shopify and QuickBooks Online data will be described here before launch.

  • Account: name, email address, a hashed password, and sign-in sessions (IP address and browser).
  • API keys: only a one-way hash of each key plus its first characters; the full key is shown once and never stored.
  • Usage: per-key usage counts for quota enforcement. Today SyncProof only runs a waitlist. When it launches it will read orders, refunds and payouts through read-only Shopify access and write to QuickBooks Online only the transactions you approve; we will never store card data. The exact data we keep will be described here before launch.
  • Waitlist: email, the description you chose, optional note, optional answer about pricing, and the link you arrived from.
  • Purchases: for pre-orders and subscriptions, the order reference, product and amount that our payment provider sends us.
  • Email log: a record of transactional emails we sent you (recipient, subject, time).

What we do not store

Card details. Payments are handled entirely by Polar; we only receive your subscription status and an order reference.

Why we use it (legal basis)

  • Account, usage and billing data: to provide the service you signed up for (performance of a contract).
  • Waitlist emails: with your consent. Reply "stop" to any of them and we remove you.
  • Error reports and page analytics: our legitimate interest in keeping the service working and understanding which pages are used.

Who processes data for us

  • Polar (merchant of record, USA): checkout, payments, invoices, tax.
  • Resend: delivery of transactional emails.
  • Zoho Mail (Zoho Corporation, India data centre): our mailbox, so your replies and support emails to hello@wrenbench.com are stored there.
  • Our hosting provider: servers and database in the EU (Hetzner).
  • Umami (self-hosted, if enabled): cookieless, aggregate page analytics.
  • Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), if enabled: error reports, processed in its EU region. Email addresses, API keys, cookies and auth headers are stripped before a report leaves our servers or your browser.

International transfers

Some processors are outside the EU and UK, for example Polar in the USA, Resend, and Zoho Mail in India. They are bound by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards. Our servers, database and error reports stay in the EU.

Cookies

A session cookie keeps you signed in. A first-party cookie remembers which link brought you here (for example a community post) for 90 days. No advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

  • Account and usage data: while your account exists, then deleted within 30 days of closure or a deletion request.
  • Waitlist: until launch plus 12 months, or until you unsubscribe, whichever comes first.
  • Email log: 12 months.
  • Error reports: 30 days.
  • Invoices: kept by Polar for as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by writing to hello@wrenbench.com or replying to any email from us. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
