Shopify to QuickBooks, posted your way.
Every order posted with your own items, customers, classes and tax codes, as an invoice or a sales receipt, your choice. You review a dry run before anything touches your books, and every Shopify payout is checked against the deposit in QuickBooks Online.

If your books stopped making sense this autumn, you're not alone
- Products and customers disappear. Since the free connector changed in August and September 2026, merchants report every line arriving as one generic sales item under one generic customer, so SKU-level sales and customer history are gone.
- You lost control of how orders post. Store owners describe losing the invoice option, losing SKU matching they had relied on for years, duplicate invoice numbers, and zero-rated sales arriving at the standard tax rate.
- Month-end turns into detective work. When payouts don't match the bank, someone untangles orders, refunds and fees by hand, and some stores pay their accountant hundreds a month just for that.
How it works
- Connect. Shopify with read-only access, QuickBooks Online to write only what you approve.
- Map once. SKUs to your QuickBooks items (with suggestions), income, fee and COGS accounts, tax codes per region, classes, and invoice or sales receipt per order type.
- Review the dry run. See exactly how your next orders would post, line by line, before anything is written.
- Post and reconcile. Orders post one by one with a visible log (nothing skipped silently), and each payout is proven: orders minus refunds minus fees equals the deposit.

Questions
- Is it ready?
- Not yet. We're checking that enough stores want it before building. Join the waitlist and you'll get one email when it's ready, plus hands-on help setting up your mapping as an early user.
- What access will it need?
- Read-only access to your Shopify orders, refunds and payouts. In QuickBooks Online it writes only the transactions you have reviewed and approved. You can disconnect either side at any time.
- Does it replace my bookkeeper or accountant?
- No. It removes the manual re-keying and matching. You or your accountant still own the chart of accounts, tax treatment and filings, and the dry run lets them check everything first.
- QuickBooks Desktop or Xero?
- Not in the first version, which is for QuickBooks Online only. Xero is being considered for later; tell us on the waitlist if you need it.
- Where is my data kept?
- On servers in the EU. We never store card details. See the privacy policy for what the waitlist keeps today; the store and accounting data handling will be published there before launch.
- Are you connected to Intuit or Shopify?
- QuickBooks and Intuit are trademarks of Intuit Inc. Shopify is a trademark of Shopify Inc. SyncProof is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Intuit or Shopify.
